Potato Soup Recipe Ingredients:

  • 8 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 3 tsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1-pound bacon, chopped
  • 4 cups vegetable broth/ chicken stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp dried tarragon
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/4 tsp of thyme
  • 2 stalk celery, diced


  1. Peel and chop the potatoes, onion, and garlic if you didn’t do it earlier.
  2. In a Dutch oven, add the bacon, and cook for 7 to 10 minutes, turning the bacon occasionally, until it is thoroughly browned. Drain the bacon on paper towels.
  3. Now drain all of the bacon grease except for 1/4 cup.
  4. In the saved bacon drippings, cook the onion and celery for about 5 minutes, or until the onion is tender and translucent.

  2. Add the potatoes and toss well. For 3 to 4 minutes, sauté. Put the bacon back in the pan and cover the potatoes with just enough chicken stock. For 15 to 20 minutes, boil the potatoes.
