Homemade Sushi Instructions:

  1. Set the temperature of the oven at 300 °F (150 °C).
  2. Add rice when water in a medium pot is brought to a boil. Reduce heat to low, place the cover on, & simmer for twenty to twenty-five mins, till the rice is soft & water has been absorbed.
  3. In a bowl, combine salt, sugar, & rice vinegar. Stir gently into the pot of cooked rice and set aside.
  4. On a baking sheet, arrange nori sheets.
  5. Nori should be roasted for one to two minutes in a preheated oven.
  6. On a sushi mat made of bamboo, centre 1 nori sheet. Spread an even coating of rice on top using your damp hands. Place rice on a plate, and down the middle, place 1/4 of the crabmeat, cucumber, avocado, & pickled ginger. For a complete roll, lift the mat’s end and roll it securely over the filling. Add the remaining ingredients and repeat.
  7. Divide each roll into 4 to 6 pieces using a damp, sharp knife.
